Also I don't have any problems blueprinting whole platforms. In fact, I have a couple blueprints for the whole platforms that I reuse( as cargo vessels to transport stuff between planets)
That's what I'm trying to do. But my blueprint is big, and it looks like the basic storage on the new platform is going to fill up with buildings before it gets enough foundation to build the actual platform.
That let me build the central part of it, but some of it still shows as out of bounds.

Guess I'll have to wait for the core of the platform to be built, before building the rest.
Check if you can do that with construction requests, maybe?
I had same ( although on smaller platforms that your massive one) so I ended up making one rocket a foundation only rocket it sits there with 50 foundations in fed by inserters so that the issue your stating didn’t happen a platform that needs foundations will be fed by this one automatically still even with the feed from network off
auto requests should be done by needed items to expand (aka buildable items only) or/and items that arnt already available by the stack size of a rocket, if there are already 50 turrets that cant be placed, why auto request 500 more just to block the storage
