How many scrap recyclers do you have on fulgora?
I lack batteries for accums for science. I have 22 normal rreclers on scrap. Wondering if i should manufacture batteries or upscale for more recyclers.

Alternate question, do you make batteries on fulgora?

Yeah, I'm holmium strapped on Fulgora but I have enough stuff there to not have that be my priority. The science packs trickle along but I need to just scale up.

I made a recycler that could recycle one blue belt of scrap, divy all the outputs out, and send around to recycle again when chests got full. I'm quite happy with the setup. I just need more of them.

But no, there is a mix of different sizes
When you land there is one much larger island than the others nearby. Wondering if it s there once or if i can find another.

I landed on a very small island, had to explore and find a suitably big one for starter base. Tip: Car can drive on the oil sands, no problem.

I personally have around 40 scrappers, but that is because I have dedicated line for quality scrapping. I am STILL short on Ice, so I have Orbital Platform collecting ice and sending cubes Planet side...

163 right now on my main island, including disposal loops. They're processing scrap being trained in from three small islands (for some reason the small islands always have the big scrap deposits).

No problem with batteries (yet), but I really wish they were a bit more generous with the holmium solution. I'm barely getting enough to keep two buildings making purple science going.

Top tip: Tank can drive on the oil sands, and blow up any ruins that get in its way.

22 is kind of low, even worse if they are common scrappers. i slap quality modules on the miners and scrappers at beginning and siphon from the initial sushi that comes out to make rare ones and end up with about 50-60 rare at the end which is enough to fill 2 green belts on both sides.

i have more than 700 on fulgora ^^

Explore around. I recommend that you ship a tank to Fulgora (you don't need any ammo for it just a roboport or 2 and some shields).

My start island first play through was small but exploring around revealed 2 large islands and a medium close enough together to use large power poles to cross the gaps and also make a single logistic network connecting all 3.

That allowed me to set up just accumulators on the medium island, science on one of the large ones, and quality production on the other.

I added a second base atthe opposite side of the island. Total of 60 and water and batteries are now fine!

One big boost was also using mag plants for batteries. I had overlooked that boost.

Thank u all!

they way iv been playing fulgora is setting up a bunch of small factories around that produce like 1-2 items and have their own rocket silo. each factory has its own scrap island it uses
if i need more of 1 specific thing like batteries i can just tap another close scrap patch and bin everything except batteries and just ship them to the factory that needs them

Use productivity modules. I added some on my entire holmium -> research chain and have like 5 research buildings going non-stop. And I have way less recyclers going than you do, all of them without modules.

Reminder that productivity modules give you extra free resources, which makes Holmium viable!

Something like 25 recyclers on the new base for epic quality. 8 on the old base where I do science.
With all the quality/burn recyclers... Idk, 300 maybe?

I do not use anything except lightning collectors+batteries, 9GJ on the science base and around 32GJ on epic area. Dunno about the number of collectors, a lot. More than 50 on epic base for sure.
Outposts are powered like this as well. 4-5 collectors and ~200 batteries. Seems sufficient for mining.

how on earth do you fit 200 batteries on a mining island? i can hardly fit a single carriage train on one

I know what you mean, but Vulcanus rules I guess? XD

But even without those drills I managed to find enough free space for everything. Just place poles in right places and you are good to go. ;)

The number of recyclers depends on both your scrap mined per second and then how many excess resources you need to delete. How much scrap you want to mine depends on what you want to produce (usually science per second/minute/hour)

If you have a big drill outputting 7.5 scrap per second while your recyclers go through 2.5 then you need 3 recyclers per miner.

probably hundreds, the infinite scrap recycling must continue
