How to get electricity on fulgora to another island?
I have around 2300 accumulators, but i can't put electric poles over oil sea

You literally get batteries out of scrap and use accumulators in science, there's more than enough charge to run any small island, a lightning strike can go to like 2GW and charges a bank instantly.

You've never managed to drain your accumulators on a small islands on Fulgora? Not even with beacons and speed modules and lots and lots of big drills and maximum stack size inserters with green belts? It really shouldn't be that hard to run into the accumulator power bank limit or space constraints.

I just put a substation or two on each island and fit as many accumulators on there as possible, it's even better with quality accumulators. The scrap piles are physically tiny on those islands anyway though, so you won't need to power much on them.
I had a small island with 25 million of scrap, so I crammed everything into that tiny spot. It runs out of power shortly before the thunderstorms, so its not bad.

Then dont use beacons and modules.

How about you don't tell people how to play the game?

If you absolutely need more power now on a small island, you would move hot steam with trains and fluid wagons, and push them through turbines. That'll almost certainly satisfy your power demands in a more limited space, but it's probably easier to just use efficiency modules, and find multiple islands to match your throughput requirements.
I'm pretty sure accumulators are better power/space, especially once you consider the need for train unloading and steam storage tanks.

Unless you're shipping nuclear steam of course, but that might be overkill.
If you unlocked heating tower in Gleba, burn the extra solid fuel in it to get those nuclear steam for free

Or get good RNG like I did.

I barely explored Fulgora, I kept it at a minimum. Two islands were close enough that good old basic quality big poles could cover the gap. That's on default settings, without foundations.

I don't remember if Fulgora's settings can be changed when creating a world, in such a way that this is more likely to happen? I suppose so.

Anyway, I'd bet the luck I had is compensated by being unlucky with the size of those islands, I just don't have any reference for comparison.

Accumulators are something in the order of 80 times worst than steam tanks in terms of power storage density and consider that fluid wagons are now two times larger than fluid tanks and you get into some big numbers.

I'm pretty sure cold steam (165C) is better than accumulators as well, but there's no reason to do that, because we have heating towers, so you'd be shipping hot steam (500C) which is exactly the same as nuclear steam by burning solid fuel directly from scrap or rocket fuel from the literal sea of oil. I would say you're limited on water though, so you definitely should use accumulators on top of it.

I wouldn't bother with shipping uranium at all; there's really no need. It wouldn't be a terrible idea to drop some ice cubes from space though. I would top it off with some calcite while you're at it.
Well, sure accumulators are worse than steam tanks for storing power but that's not the comparison to make here.

It's accumulators to steam engines.

A steam engine gives you 78 kW per tile and an accumulator gives you 75.

Now this isn't quite fair since accumulators will drain between lightning storms, but you also can cut down massively on infrastructure. No pumps, no pipes, no boilers anywhere on any island. Also on some of the tiny islands you need all the space you can get for your train loading scrap since only two (or even one) car can really fit.

I didn't think about heating towers due to the order I've done planets (thus the 'nuclear steam' heh) but I guess they could make it more worthwhile if you were doing something very power intensive on a small island since turbines definitely win any contest.

Shame you can't load plasma onto trains for the most absurd source of power though.

i've managed to connect some using blue big power poles, its tricky but doable unless the islands are too far apart

Just put some of them on the island with some lightning rods, you can easily fit them between mining drills, it's not gonna be powering anything besides a few inserters and drills.
late game foundations or this
