Report a translation problem
Overload the G key that's normally used to switch between raised and normal tracks within the context of the rail planner, to allow switching between highlighting/selecting an already placed elevated track, or the entity below it.
I think @RiO has a good idea with the G key. Perhaps not even a toggle, just a press-to-hide and releasing it returns the normal view. The "hidden" could be done with something close to what ghosts were in 1.1 so not even a new "mechanic" to create.
Would really help as well with certain mods that love to use buildings that are too tall for their bounding boxes. ::cough:: Py ::cough::
And just to round off the arguments in favor:
exoskeletons already make us capable of running faster than a speeding locomotive.
shields already make us deflect bullets.
mech armor already lets us leap over tall buildings.
And we have personal laser defense.
Might as well round-off the package, right?
