"Loading blueprint storage failed" - how do I correct this?
I haven't played Factorio since some time in Early Access. I'm *guessing* that the issue is that I have obsolete blueprints somewhere, or that the file path changed at some point. I was trying to finish the tutorial, and I get this error every time I load a save or progress to the next tutorial.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

No one knows? I guess I'm just going to have this error forever then.

I have had to delete and remake some of my Blueprints. All my blueprints with modded tiles had to be redone. Some of my Blueprints with modded buildings had to be redone.

In some cases I was able to delete the bad item in the old Blueprint, thus allowing me to place the Blueprint.

Probably doesn't happen to people who have never used Blueprints with mods.

Lots of stuff changed between Factorio 1 and 2. (Are you playing Factorio 1 or 2? That can make a difference.)

I don't know anything about the Tutorial though. I don't think I have done that in years.

Did you already try opening your blueprint library and see if anything looks wrong and maybe just delete everything?

I'm not sure I've ever even made a blueprint. The last time I played was ages ago in Early Access. The error is complaining that the blueprints are something like version 0.15.blahblah, and aren't compatible, and will be backed up. I'm not even sure *how* to create blueprints, or to check a blueprint library.

I'd appreciate a pointer for how to just delete everything, honestly.

Using the secret art of googling, it told me that local blueprints are stored in %appdata%/factorio (just copy&paste it into the searchbar in filebrowser), delete the blueprint-storage.bat files.

In the controls it's listed as 'toggle blueprint library'. For me it's 'b' but I don't know if that's the default or not. And I guess ViolentSweed already told you how to find them outside of the game.

Go here:
C:\Users\<yourWinUser>\AppData\Roaming\Factorio

Replace "<yourWinUser>" with whatever your Windows user name is.
You should see files with "blueprint" in the filename, such as "blueprint-storage-2.dat". Backup and then delete those files.

If you are on Linux, I believe someone mentioned the equivalent files are under
~/.factorio/
