Solar Accu Ratio changed in 2.0?
Hi,

simple Question: Did the ratio of Accumulator to Solar Panel change from the 0.84??

I have 23k Accumulators to 26k Solar Panel . Its a bit more Accus than the optimal, but I noticed that my Solar can charge 100% in half a day while the Accus are drained 90% at night, so my Backup kicks in for 5% charging...

From the Wiki "The optimal ratio is 0.84 (21:25) accumulators per solar panel, and 23.8 solar panels per megawatt required by your factory (this ratio accounts for solar panels needed to charge the accumulators)."

Thats one way to do it. But i prefer a single connection from backup to main grid and a powerswitch with a SR-Latch between. Prevents a massive overproduction of energy with bigger backuppowerplants and gives you the advantage to use storagetanks as powerstorage (1 tank = 150 accu). That way a single Coalbelt can produce much more energy in case of brownout., It can fill the tanks at day when solar is up again.

Its a shame that you cant use electricity to heat water. Would ditch accu completly xD

Nice idea using Steam tanks as power storage :) You gave me a new little project to do in my own base :)

Nice and compact :) You'll need 50 steam engines off each tank to equal the power output of 150 accumulators, of course you can use more/less depending on how quickly you need to output that energy (ex: lots of lasers, you'll want more engines). Ultimately that tank is a nice big "time buffer" for your brownout situations, and just use a handful of boilers to slowly recharge that tank.

I think my Save is broken... Found another Bug. Ive made some blueprints for rails last week. 100x100 as absolut grid with offset 1 1. Had to play around for 2h until I could rotate the blueprints and still be aligned. Yesterday I wanted to use them and they did not work. And I could not repair them. Lucky I had the old playarea still araund to copy them again and they work again.
That's a known bug. There is at least one off-by-1 error in the blueprint alignment code when re-assigning them. If you have all-odd grid alignment numbers, rails are shifted by 1 and start overlapping other stuff in the blueprint. For now, if you want to make adjustments, you have to re-create blueprints from the map, and destroy the old one, instead of using the re-select content button.

This will hopefully get fixed in the next patches. Keep looking out for the patch notes.
