Getting a platform to Vulcanus

Gotta be straightforward, right? Have done the research, have a starter pack on a rocket, have hit the build new space platform button but don't seem to be able to deliver the pack to the new platform. What foolish mistake am I making or what step have I not taken?

Thanks. I get a dialogue box up about which planet. So I choose Vulcanus and have a named site. But I can't Deliver to the Vulcanus site.

Thanks. I'm not. But I was wondering if it was a bug. More likely my ignorance however.

The issue seems to be that the Vulcanus site is not listed in the Select Rocket Destination dialogue box. Perhaps it is a bug?

Are you on Vulcanus? Is the rocket on Nauvis? I'm having trouble envisioning your situation.

If you're on Nauvis, you have to build the platform in Nauvis orbit first, then add thrusters and fuel and turrets and so on, then finally use it to travel through space to Vulcanus. You can't just build it in Vulcanus orbit, and honestly it's kind of weird that the UI gives you that dropdown and lets you try, I'm not sure why they did that - it's just misleading.

Did you research Vulcanus already? Since without the research you can't get to a planet.

Ok but to get the fuels I need to mine something that's on Vulcanus. Did think it might be my ignorance. Will take another look.

Nope, your space platform can get everything it needs from asteroids.

By the way, the reason this is so hard, without wishing to spoil anything, is where the fuel recipes appear and don't appear.

I guess? All the recipes you ever get are in your crafting window, with a 'this is new' alert when you research.
