Nucleur power ratio question.
How many heaters does one station support? Also how many turbines does one heater support? Setting up power and not seeing the output I expected.

Power output from reactors is dependent upon neighbor bonus so the total number of heat exchangers is not linear to number of reactors. It is approximately 1.75 turbines per heat exchanger.

With a typical 2xN array of reactors, and ignoring quality, you need 16(2N-1) heat exchangers. For each 16 exchangers you need (almost) 27.5 turbines. I suggest just rounding that up to 7 turbines per 4 exchangers: that gives you a peak power output fractionally higher than the sustainable average power, which is sensible.
hmm I have 4 reactors feeding 14 heaters. Each heater feeds 4 turbines.

So I should rebuild it so only 2 turbines per heater? Ok this was lot different then I expected after using coal burners. Ok thank you I will try.

For a 2 by 2 reactor setup (so each reactor is generating 120MW) you need 48 heat exchangers and 82 turbines. Note that the ratios between the turbines and heart exchanges aren't perfect since the heat exchangers generate 103 steam per second second while the turbines only consume 60 (if I remember correctly).

As such you technically need 82 and a partial turbine to use it 100%, but since you can't do that it is better to round down so you have slightly extra steam.

Ah ok thats what ill do then. Thank you.

You just divide the output by the heat exchanger output and round up, do the same for turbines.
