Vulcanus with nothing but how to proceed without lubricant?

So I basically stranded myself on Vulcanus with nothing. I started banging rocks and got everything needed for the foundry but lacked lubricant to make it. So how can I get heavy oil? Coal Liquefaction requires the foundry to research.

There is a more basic version of coal liquefaction that only makes heavy oil that you should be able to use before getting the research for the better version.
I did not notice it until i shipped in lubricant, setup my factory, shipped the science back and finished the research .

Take a look at your Refinery and Chemical labs. its something like Acid > Heavy oil > lub

Well, i suppose I should clarify a bit. I assume that the big miner is going to somehow procure both iron and copper ore plus stone and I won't have to smash rocks 24 / 7 to make the factory grow?

you can get rocks, iron and copper ore from the rocks scattered around. The Foundry you need the lube for is input lava and calcite and it makes liquid iron or copper. which is used to make everything really, the Stone that is make as a byproduct can either be used to make foundations in another foundry or just throw it in the lava.

nope, don't see any way to research for oil, or heavy oil and the chem plant has no existing recipe for heavy oil or oil, i see no way forward.

its not the chem plant is the oil refinery

Hold alt and click on heavy oil and it will tell you all the ways you can make it

I should have checked, i knew the original coal liquefaction was done in the refinery
