Another Planet?
Is there an ice planet?

Since things are getting stable and I'm starting to be pretty happy with the state of the game now, we are ready to give a specific date of the Space Age release...
Which we will tell you next week :)

Also, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

There is, indeed, one more planet to be revealed, eventually. Until given a name officially, the community has been calling it Aquilo, based on some depixelated screenshots in earlier FFFs. The name Aquilo is associated with winter winds, and many have latched onto that to consider it an ice planet. I'm not saying it is not an icy place, yet I'm not going to commit to the idea that it is one either. The name in the screenshot is not certain anyway. The recent reveal, Gleba, was depixelated to Bacchus, not exactly a close miss. The devs might not even do a blog about it. They could leave that as something to discover for ourselves when we get there in the game progression.

The next planet being cold is extremely likely for a variety of reasons.

... as well as the reason of variety!

Or they could create hybrid planets.

You know, post game...(I will explain what I'm suggesting). Instead of doing recycling for a % to get some materials, or wasting tons of time in space to collect asteroids, post game, new hybrid planes are accessible. Said hybrid planes don't offer anything unique, sure, but, they will make acces to most of said resource. No more % and time consuming. Also, who know, maybe higher quality? Since most people will farm for legendary.

But hey, it's only a paid expansion, so of course it's exaggerated to expect the devs to add quality of life feature, and the only solutions, is like usually, the mods to improve gameplay.... /s

An enigmatic 5th planet - promises some of the most unique gameplay but it remains shrouded in mystery. It's the furthest planet from the sun so it's dark and cold.

Hype

They presented early on that there would be 3 mid-game planets and one endgame planet. We don't know anything about the endgame planet except "icy". I'm hoping it's a deathworld with new biter mechanics, and we'll need new weapons from each planet to survive there.

Oh nice, there are black science packs, blue ammo, and other stuff, in the expansion name image.

Probably the remains of ancient biters frozen beneath the ice? I could see a combat-based planet working well.

Ice levels should be banned by international treaty.

Maybe 5% of ice levels have ever made a video game better, and most of them are in platformers. Someday we'll remove ice levels from Earth with global warming, and if it makes people forget what ice is and take it out of video games, it will be worth it.

It is hyperbole not trolling. Ice levels have the most boring art and color schemes, and in video games this is a serious problem. The only excuse for one is novelty. It could be the 2nd or 3rd planet, if it we weren't expected to stay long. It being the ultimate planet would be terrible.

I still think it's 50% likely to be an ice level, as the other ones are fire, lightning, and earth levels. Also ice planets are real. But it would be terrible to do this unless they come up with a sci-fi excuse that all the ice is covered by metal or aliens and we never have to see it.
