Lol I didn’t notice I doubled the right turn options.

As far as roundabouts in general go they allow slightly less traffic than a straight 4 way intersection. If Alex jumps into the thread he'll explain it to all of us again.
That's basically what a cloverleaf interchange does, right? 🤣
About roundabouts having less than S tier capacity, I don't care and I have no good reason to care. I don't double any track, I have single tracks going in each direction and the past has proven that my UPS gets destroyed way before train traffic causes any issue. Even my busiest roundabouts have their share of downtime, without me designing anything about rails in a planned way to lessen traffic here or make more trains pass there.
I think we had a discussion about that before. But as a reminder, I mine and smelt ore at each patch. There's no downside to it once you have bots and a simple smelter BP. On the plus side, it cuts overall train traffic by about half.
So when I see players doubling tracks (sometimes beyond doubled), designing nasty looking crossings and jumping through hoops in hope that the resulting train traffic won't hold them back, I admit I do laugh at all their efforts, fruitful or not.
'Cause I'm just a lazy bastard.
I haven't run the numbers so I can't say for sure but I suspect that the UPS draw from both systems are similar or else there would be a definitive guide somewhere that I can't find.
