That doesn't mean that there are no other good games in the factory building genre, but they tend to not be that close to factorio on many points.
The only few that really try to be like factorio are pretty poor copies that are worse in all aspects, so overhaul mods end up being a much better alternative.

I enjoyed it a lot.
Desynched is pretty neat, too. It is a hybrid of Factorio and classic RTS. So, if you ever wanted more from biter combat and wanted to explore ruins and stuff, this is it.
They've made sweeping changes to the structure of the tech tree and campaign so it's a lot more focused on using the RTS-style units than it previously was. Very different game than it was when you were belting your ore to your turrets.
