Ctrl+C to enable copy
Hold left click and drag the mouse in a square over the buildings you want to copy
After releasing the button you'll see a copy of the setup following your cursor
Move the cursor to a desired spot and click to paste the blueprint in

You will still have to manually place everything (or have robots do it), but the settings will copy over, and you will have a visual guide to see what goes where.

Might not work in the tutorial, haven't checked.

To add to the above, I'm not sure if a new player can use that yet; you might need to research construction bots for the first time to unlock it.

The shortcuts are disabled until you research the bots, but the keybindings still work, even in the demo. Even the blueprint library, even though empty, can be opened by keybind.

What is it worth, though, if you don't have bots?

It's still faster than trying to freehand everything. Spam "Q" and you can get it done reasonably fast. And the copies retain things like which recipe to craft, splitter settings, etc. You can also use those "ghost copies" as placeholders, so that you leave enough room for later construction--and once you do get bots, they can built it out for you.
