The last time I played very far, you kind of had to build your defensive wall close to the aliens to get at their nest. Now I think there are options that allow you to bring the fight to the buggers more pro-actively.
There are few games that will challenge your creativity or imagination more than Factorio. I'd say it can damage your soul if you let it get to you, the incredible amount of detail and automation that you create is truly unparalleled in any game I have seen. I imagine a smart person could psychoanalyze the maps can come to some interesting conclusions about the players.
I would suggest to play the demo as others here suggested.
lol enuff said! :)
Don't bash someone's choice of game, afterall maybe a cellphone is all he can afford.
Wait.
Today's cellphones cost 10x what a PC that would run Factoria would cost. Hmmm.....
Initially they will generally ignore you - until the pollution you cause spreads to them, which makes them... angry.
So basically you start out with a short breathing room - and once they attack, things slowly grow worse and worse. So you'll have to up your own defences - and eventually hit their bases (which makes the other bases stronger)
with some mods, you've got air filters - so no polution
True. I'm impressed with this game's development. I am running it perfectly on a 2012 apple laptop!!
But I guess that's not too hard to believe since the game is made with allegro. Dat native performance.

Before any comments about my owning a 2012 macbook and using it for something like gaming, I also own a windows 10 desktop with a titanx in it. That's what I use for demanding / unoptimized games like ark.
