Just heard of this game, looks awesome, was gonna buy it immediately from the humble store but the single thing holding me back is the lack of DRM-free, is there any way to get DRM-free+steam key, such as those website memberships the OP mentions?

This is the kind of game that could provide a bunch of fun even when we are in an area without internet, but beyond that, I value my DRM-free library above my steam library, as the former is not existing at the sole pleasure of a corporation and its rather heavy-handed EULA, unlike the latter :)


Are there any plans to add DRM-free to humble store? I love CDPR and buy gog as well, but I like the 10% charity on the humble store.

Just found this topic and I have a quick question before proceeding ...

I already have the game and I was thinking about gifting this game to my friend one of these days.
If instead of simply giving him a steam copy I buy it from the website for myself again, will I then end up with both a steam key to give to him and a DRM free version for myself as bonus?

Yes, as long as you don't sell/trade the steam key to him you are fine.

You then can use the DRM free version from the website and he has a full Steam version.

I had some trouble loging out from the main site (link in OP) ...
The no-track protection (not the request sent to not being tracked) provided by Firefox 45.0.1 did let me log in but not out again.
I narrrowed it down to that after disabling my plugins and other stuff I block per default.

Soooo... The site says that the functionality to obtain a steam key for those who already bought the game has been disabled. And says that it should be reimplemented in a more secure manner "very soon" (tm)

This is highly frustrating... I hope "very soon" is within a week or so.

oh sorry to hear that, I was about to buy it to get DRM-free+Steam key, wish they'd just add a DRM-free build to the humblebundle store like other awesome indie devs... anyway, when DRM-free+Steam purchase shows up in any way, somebody please wake me up, thanks

Yep, they wrote about it in their last blog-post. Many people bought copies with stolen credit card info. They want to implement a new Steam-login comparable to the one on HumbleBundle.

The game is in alpha right now. And I got my key via the homepage. Just login and have a look.

AS mentioned before - until the new system is integrated you won't be able to retrieve your Steam key. You can still play the version from the website.

Since the save files use the same folder for both versions nothing will get lost when you finally can retrieve your key ;)
