LMAO, indeed
A few reasons. It solves about 40% of complaints about how to get into Factorio, and I wouldn't play factorio without it. I cannot convey to you how much of a game changer it was for my experience, and I know Im not alone based on the complaints made by new players in the forums. Also, I didn't realize how contentious an issue using this mod was among other players, which also means its often never mentioned, so I often bring it up as a way to bait the people who get upset that other people are enjoying a game in a different way then them.
Out of about 10 people, I would say teksura and maybe 2 others are the only people who opposed the mods use in what I would call a rational way. The rest get upset because I've basically invalidated one of their primary sources to confirm their self esteem. A 70% success rate is incredible.
What I'm reading is that you like to troll instead of making sure you're answering the question someone asked. Or preaching, which also amounts to not necessarily answering the question asked.
I don't think using the mod is the issue people have had with your writing, but I guess you're not open to understanding that.
PS: I didn't ask for any reasons, so you basically didn't answer my comment at all.
Do I have to delete it? I mean come on......
If you just don't want to get notifications, you should be able to unsubscribe from the thread.
If it's that you don't like that other people are discussing things different from what you want to discuss... well, that's not really something that should be up to you, is it?
Edit: Actually this bothered me enough to act on it, So I made a male-centric space. Join up if you're interested in watching a lone madman shout into the void. I intend to post the essays I've written on the male experience to it shortly, starting after December 18.

But I see you went the full-on trolling route, so complying with OP's wishes, this is my last reply to you.
No. I played vanilla for both games. I didn't know mods were a thing for these games.
I tried using my own blueprints in factorio but you still need to build them yourself.
The tutorial was just bad. But I couldn't get pass something and I asked for help in discord and they replied that the tutorial is broken and I should just learn in a real save. So I moved on.
Trains were such a pain to learn. And trial and error became a legit way to working them out.
Overall I didn't find the game to be very good. I can see why some would love it. But then why not love dsp?
It is meant to be one of the fairly big steps towards automation as well and the blueprint tools are locked behind your first time researching it (it stays unlocked even on other maps after that).
As for DSP, it kind of lacks content, or at least did last time I tried it at a friend's house, with little to no late/end game content.
Discussing is fine.
But insulting each other in a less than civil manner isn't, even if it is on topic.
I had JUST bragged in this very post about how awesome this community is and it has degraded a bit into pedantry and low-brow cutdowns.
