In other word deactive auto-update feature from steam.
He needs to have the same version of the game as when the save was made, and you can't have updated Factorio or changed mods during the savegame.
1. Start Factorio and select Play > Load Game. Select the save file you would like to Replay, and look at the Map Version info in the top of the right pane. Note the game version number.
2. Quit Factorio. Open your Steam Library and right-click Factorio. Select Properties > Betas tab. From the drop-down list select the version that matches the Replay save.
3. Let the game files download and update.
4. Start Factorio, select Play > Replay Game.
5. When done, repeat step #2 and select "NONE - opt out of all betas" from the drop-down list on the betas tab to allow the game to download and update back to the current version.
If I try and play it back with 12.29, it says the version of the map is 12.26. So I do as you say and roll back to 12.26. But then when I try to playback, it says map is version 12.29.
ARRRRRGGGGHHHHH! /slashwrist
I put alot of time into this one map, and I really want to see how it developed. It's the first one I played to the end.
