The price change is not exactly new, and the comparison (no man's sky of all games) makes no sense as they are not even remotely close in gameplay or content.
Are we perhaps getting a new wave of badge-seeking trolls that are recycling old topics?
..because I just happen to come across this game again after a long while. I was gonna come to “discount” thread to ask, but it is locked (wonder why?). Do you just accuse every reasonable thread that you don’t like as troll nowadays? Wow.
Sure, could be coincidence I suppose.
A long history of increasingly unreasonable posting.
I haven't noticed him doing so. Have you seen one?
If you want a good example, the thread titled "." (renamed and edited by its author).
We have a relatively regular influx of trolls doing threads like this to get some awards, at least 2-3 times a year so we are indeed a bit trigger-happy calling trolls sometimes.
The pinned thread about discounts was locked because it inevitably ended up with name-calling after the moderators for this forum stopped being moderators.
The reason given by the devs for the price increase was the inflation, there was a pretty understandable flood of threads at the time, mostly against the increase.
Not all of them were trolls, and a good portion of the people that had already bought before also agreed that it wasn't a great move (especially since it happened without much of a news about it from the devs).
If you are indeed not a troll that fine, I'm sorry for jumping to that assumption.
Another company charges half the price the previous company does for its game, it never goes on sale, you can buy it 365 days per year for that price.
And the second case is the one you're laughing at.
People never cease to surprise me.
You know that some people are willing to pay in full, just because they are willing to do so, even though they know that a game can go on sale at some points right?! They wouldn’t complain, because they make their choice.
I didn’t get what you meant on second case, are you telling me that $30 was the discounted price the whole time?! If so, are you telling me that this game is supposed to be $60 ?That’s ridiculous. Anyway, I made this thread, just because I was surprised, I haven’t looked back on it for very long time, it is not even on my wishlist, I’m not part of any troll group that you “die hard” fans assume me so. I guess that this forum hasn’t changed bit since last time I was here. Ha! It kinda amuses me though. Sure I won’t ever buy it, there are many others that worth more. Still, kinda funny how it’s $35 now, for a 2d game.
Consider, maybe, that you aren't the target audience for this game.
Not really funny at the 2d part, it was more about how it was $30, then now it’s $35, because people didn’t even think that it worths even $30 back then. I myself don’t even think this worth $15 tbh, but hey it doesn’t matter what my opinion is.
Or is this the sort of thing where you don't consider those who like this sort of game to be people?
It matters at least to the extent that it affects what you purchase.
It does not matter to the extent that you can speak for the entire potential audience of the game.
People thought it was worth $30 when it was $30 and purchased it.
More people thought it was worth $35 after it changed, and they purchased it to.
Trolls don't think it's worth $15, or any other arbitrary value they pick at random.
Trolls don't think anyway.
I place no value on the fake Steam points, I do place value on my time.
Trolls ain't worth the time and clicks to toss around some of those nothing-points.
Enjoy your failed intellect and rotten outlook. One or the other might even be worth something, someday.
People never cease to surprise me.
That's still true.
About the 2 cases I pointed out, case #1 is No Man's Sky's pricing strategy. Case #2 is Factorio. Hope you understand now.
