I'm way more worried about the quality and fun factor of the dlc than that it will be released at all.
Why are we having these insane takes again? Why the bad faith at all?
Because it is rather... suspicious... to first say they could just push out any old crap and it would sell, and then say you are worried because they did not do that?
Oh, they would sell even if it was a quick fire cash-grab! They never did that! WORRIESOME!
By then I have the ultimate modded 1.1 vanilla based experience. I am in my second playthrough now and working on a couple of new ideas and probably a couple of new ideas that come up. It should be done December 2023. Directly after that I start a new game which will be done in September 2024.
Sounds like a roadmap to me.
Some image teasing the new DLC contents in the first half.

So far this is the only minor tease of gameplay that I am aware of and news that it would take at least another year if not more to release the expansion.

Now you are all up to speed on the expansion news.
That's really not how businesses work.
new sales fund new development, i would doubt they are dipping significantly into savings to finish the dlc.
