0.17 > 0.18 worth?

worth updating to the newest release, or stick with 0.17.x for a while longer?

If you're using any mods, probably stick with .17 until said mods are updated. Otherwise it doesn't look like there are any game changing adjustments in .18 just bug fixes and performance fixes.

I only noticed when my Factorio lost the

“Factorio(0.17.whatever)” tag that usually was there.

So I went back into properties, betas to reset it and noticed 0.18 experimental as the latest choice

Something is wrong with my setup. In steam/factorio/properties, under automatic updates, I have "Only update this game when I launch it". And I've launched it several times in the past hour.

Under the Betas tab and "Select the beta..." It's "0.17.x ... experimental" and the popdown arrow doesn't work. Can't change this. (update: I have to close the game to change it.)

How do I get this update?

Thanks. I wasn't seeing any of the 0.18 versions in my list. I stopped and restarted steam and now I see them and can get the update.

So i see they are not adding any features with this update

does that mean the game is feature complete and we are looking at optimizations till 1.0?

are there any plans for some expansions?

They just decided to revert the campaign/tutorial to the 0.16 version so my guess would be "no".

Personally im sticking with 0.17.79 for a while longer. For some reason 0.18 hates my rx 5700xt.

Consistant crashing and the error report states that the game thinks my gpu is disconnected...which it is not

Make sure you post your crash log and the description of your problem on the official forums so that the developers can be aware of it and fix the issue.
