Requester chest not getting things requested
So, I have a requester chest set to request plastics. It is within range of a passive provider chest FULL of plastics. In fact, the plastics production line is choked up with plastics.

I set a new requester chest, waaay farther than the 1st one from the passive provider chest full of plastics but still within range of the roboport system. And that 2nd requester chest RECEIVES plastics, while the 1st one does not.

Whaaaat???

Try removing the first chest that is not responding and replace it with a new chest say 1-2 tiles from the previous spot.. cant say ive ever had this happen to me but for most things just switching it out for a different item usually fixes it.... or you may have a bug.. in which case open a ticket....

a requester chest can only receive what it is requesting when it is inside the logistic network. to determine if it is inside the network hover your mouse pointer over the chest and the area around it should go yellow/orange colour if it does it is inside the net work if it doesn't then you will have to put a roboport(s) down so that it(they) connect to the other ports and cover the chest you want it to.

My logistics process only involves bots, roboports, and the requester-supplier series of chests. For the most part, they all work. I've had burner inserters not auto-inserting solid fuel into themselves and the boilers they were to supply once. I took them in my inventory and laid them back, and then they worked.

Hopefully, that'll fix this supplier-receiver fiasco. Also, I need a second solid fuel production sector. Gotta expand my base. Which means gotta expand my laser arsenal.

Seriously, cannot get enough iron and copper! I wonder if we'll ever get replicator tech...

Had you recently swapped them over from wood or coal into solid fuel? I have a theory that if the fuel in the burner inventory doesn't match what fuel is in front of it (or is in the boiler behind it) that it won't reach for it. If you think about it, they always try to fill themselves first, then fill the inventory behind them.

Like a yellow inserter putting fuel into a running boiler, it won't pick up fuel from the belt if it doesn't match what is already inside the boiler itself. Picking it up and placing it again would reset the contents of the inserter, and make it pick up the first fuel in front of it.

You've got a point.

But I believe I am not using burner inserters in this case, hence no fuel to speak of.
