How many electric furnaces does it take?!
I have 32 electric furnaces, 16 on each side of a red belt. The furnaces have a fully compressed line of copper ore, and plenty of electricity.

Yet they cannot produce a fully compressed belt of copper plates! What's it take? The line looks to be about 1/2 compressed, so does it really take 64 electric furnances to compress a red belt copper plate line?

Yes. 32 electric or steel furnaces will compress a yellow belt, so 64 are required for red.

Alternatively, put 2 speed module 3s in each electric furnace for a 100% speed boost.

Put speed modules on them.
32 Electric Furnaces with 2 Level 2 Speed Modules each will almost fill a blue belt to 100%

But, you will also need a practically full blue belt of ore feeding them.

I currently have 4 fully compressed red belts feeding 4 banks of 32 furnaces (Total 128 electric furnaces) for my iron and that worked fine.

I know I will need major adjustments once I start using speed modules in my miners and furnaces. I will probably need 4-5 fully compressed blue belts. Man, I got to get my trains working harder!
