The Trees
We all view trees in one of three ways. One, an obstacle. Two, a resource to be exploited for small power poles. Three, a tool to suck up pollution.

But do you ever stop for a moment and just examine a tree? I don't mean the forest, I mean a close-up inspection of a single tree sprite.

They're beautiful.

Until you burn the stumps for power and re-release them.

Why would you do that? Do you realize how painfully inefficient wood burning is? Not to mention you can't automate collecting wood without robots. Solid fuel, all the way.

Gee burn it for power, waste resources blowing it up, or store it out of the way? I use spidertron building crews to clear out trees and rocks (and coal) they then come back to the logistic supply area where it is autotrashed. The wood gets transported to back up power generation, the stones get sent to rail manufacturing (for purple science), and the coal gets sent to grende manufacturing (for gray science).

Yes, its not efficient as a source of power but using it for power is better than wasting it.

I like setting tree density to max and bias to grass so the entire map is one giant forest.
