I accidentally burned down the world
So I just loaded back into my save to discover that aparently about 60% of the trees across the map after mid-game amount of radar scanning have all burned down nearly giving me that 10k pyromaniac tree achievement, i have some idea what happened granted i built a couple of flamethrowers specifically for the purpose of burning down the entire forest inside one of my forward turret bases protecting my main base, so I guess it was just attacked but now I triggered the first pollution attack (I thought it was broken because prior to now (about 20hrs into a save) i haven't been attacked at all aside from attacking an alien camp to see if they actually did anything.

TLDR; is there a mod or some way I can replant this forest I destroyed semi-intentionally, i much preferred the way the world looked with it not turned to ash.

As a side note i'm now being attacked frequently and can't do anything because i'm constantly running between resource points and building more turrets and ammo everywhere to protect the places about to be attacked, do you guys have tips?

Well, offense is the best way to stop biter attacks -- kill the bases within your pollution zone first. A flamethrower and power armor with a few shield should work a treat!

I THINK I heard there was a tree planting mod, but I have no interest in mods so I never found out where to get it. It seems like it should still be around if you check the mod portal.

As for pollution and attacks, is the pollution hitting the biters coming from your base, or residual leftover from the forest burning? If the latter, it should eventually be absorbed and you will get back to your baseline level of pollution, which should get you back to little or now biter attacks (hopefully).

If you do find the tree mod, PLEASE tell me the name.

Why not just search http://mods.factorio.com?

This is precisely why I don't use flamethrowers. (that, and Oil is usually in semi-short supply).

Fires are pretty easily controllable, and are incomparable weapons against the biters. You can stop the spread of a fire by using grenades to blow up trees in the fire's path, thereby preventing the spread.

Warlord: I hear you when you say that you "have no interest in mods". Normally, I am the same way but, with Factorio, they make a huge difference. I don't want to "cheat", but there are many, many "experience-enhancing" mods in the community that add to the game rather than simply "make it easier" :-)

I would recommend the following, and remember that it is _very_ easy to disable or uninstall them again, as you can do it from the "Mods" menu within the game itself:

Blueprint string and/or Killrogg's Blueprint Master (allows sharing of blueprints between games or players)
FARL (Fully Automated Rail Layer) which makes building a long-distance rail transport network unbelievably easier (mostly because you don't have to either burn down large swathes of your map or wear out your poor old rail blueprints). You can build a resource network that takes minutes to drive across in a locomotive!
RSO (Resource Spawner Overhaul) replaces the "vanilla" resource generator in the game with bigger/richer deposits that are further away from your start point. A major player issue with larger bases has been that you can spend 10 or 20 minutes setting up a remote outpost for mining, but have to tear it down a fewhours later because it has run dry. RSO addresses this, and makes deposits last longer the further out you are, which encourages sprawling transport layouts.
Rail Tanker (optional) is something that the mods have said should be released within the game in 0.15 or 0.16. This simply allows you to transport fluids (usually crude oil) by train instead of using those pesky barrels :-) This one falls into the "nice to have" category, but I like it as it allows me to concentrate on other matters(such as figuring out circuit network doohickeys).

Please, try them - they will enhance your Factorio experience :-). There are plenty of others but, as I said, I tend to shy away from mods in general. The forums are a good place to look for information on specific mods, but they can help to iron out some of the issues that you experience, especially once you have "completed" the game a few times in vanilla.

I found 3-4 tree mods, tried them, and none of them worked and gave up on testing the rest XD

This is Toxic Jungle mod with trees set to 100% density, I just wanted to see what would happen. Basically my GTX1080 was running Factorio at 2-3 FPS. I hit 1 FPS at the final one when I zoomed out to the max.

On a more serious note - there are mods for replanting trees, but if you're not into mods then you can either use console commands to spawn patches of forest (which will disable achievements) or start over.

Of course, you can just do what I would do - set up a defensive line and shoot anything that approaches you. Easy peasy.
Aussy Bush makes trees grow back after bring fried, but when they grow back they're the strange, colorful desert trees, not the nice green ones.

Edit: It's called "Hardy Fire Resistant Bush" on the mod portal.

There's a mod called renewal that has trees slowly populate the area near the player, so unless the nearest living trees are REALLY far away, they should start growing back, but they will continue growing and growing, so explosive termites might help to counter that.

It wasn't that bad since it was realisitically the first attack in my roughly 20 hours on the first save since I bought the game, I was prepared enough, it was just during the latest hour or so of playtime that the alien bases randomly started expanding closer to me, after that is when I noticed the forest of ash which leaves me to question how I never saw a wildfire next door to my base.
Anyway, how would I check if it's the residue of the burning forest that angered them?
P.S, the first time I loaded in it gave me the pollution triggered achievment before they attacked, but I thought the burned forest was a glitch so I reloaded a few times to no avail but now I don't have the achievement with them still attacking
