Good co-op games are a-plenty on Steam (assuming you're limiting your question to Steam games).
Can you be more specific in what you are looking for in co op games or what systems? Do you want sandbox games? Builder games? PC games? Just good co op games in general?
Not to be a jerk, but aside from maybe Terraria (the closest example in my mind which is still pretty far off), I'm not sure where to start without more direction
As Mist of Majora said, "co-op" is way too wide, it goes from overcooked all the way to nioh or starcraft 2, and if you also include games that have co-op on top of "against other players".
"Like factorio" isn't exactly much better but for a different reason, there are plenty of games that share some aspects with factorio, but most of them also have very different things as well.
It would probably be easier if you told us what you and your friend(s) enjoyed about factorio, how many people "we" includes, what other games you enjoyed playing together, what kind of games you want to avoid...
I mean, if I told you to go for EDF 4.1 because it's a co-op game where you are using guns and tanks to fight giant bug-type aliens it could in theory fit the "co-op game like factorio" (giant bug-like aliens fought with guns, tanks, grenades and such), but at the same time it's a third person shooter that has "chapter"-type scripted maps and you don't manufacture anything, you just kill bugs.
Depending on what you are searching, it could end up being something you enjoy, but it's also likely that an action-based game might not exactly be what you qualify as "like factorio".
(I purposedly chose one that is pretty far with only a few things in common)
Dont listen to the Epic Haters, Epic at least doesnt shove stuff down your throat like steam does or spams your search results with hentai games so you find the thing you literally typed the exact name into the search into on page 4...
The only thing "shoved" is the client, and AFAIK Epic "shoves" one too. Other stuff (reviews, forums, customer support, cloud saves...) you can ignore or disable. In Steam, I mean; you can't ignore them in Epic, because they don't exist.
I don't recall ever having that problem. You must be searching for some quite peculiar names. Have you tried turning off the various "adult content" options in your store preferences?
Of course, the real reason it's impossible for it to happen on Epic is that all of the games you can buy there easily fit on one page :)
Besides that, as others said modded minecraft.
Also, do not ignore the major factorio mods that completely change the game play:
- BioIndustries (which could be best if pair it with Next Gen Evolution).
- Angel's and Bob's.
- Space Exploration.
- Railworld, ribbon, island presets.
- Or even forgetting about the rocket "goal" and playing factorio to achieve some other goals you make up yourself.

There is no real automation to be done but you are slowly upgrading your base while trying to not starve (or go insane).
It allows up to 6 players, and you might go down relatively fast in the first few runs but the game has so much going for it that it's worth learning what "not" to do.
The co-op part is particularly great with friends as it allows your group to cover more ground, without making it particularly easy because food and sanity are still important (and it's easier to lose track of time when you are not playing alone, getting stranded in the middle of nowhere when night falls).
A word of warning though, "losing is fun" is an integral part of the experience, things are invariably going to go very wrong at some point, and when you add that to multiple people running around trying not to die, it creates a memorable mess.
I hope it's the kind of suggestions you were looking for, because this is one of the best games in the whole survival genre (as well as one of the first) and it is designed to be played solo or with a very small group (up to 6).
EDIT: do note that you get 2 copies by buying the game, so you only need to buy it 3 times for the whole group (money is not necessarily an issue but it's better to know that before you end up with each person having an extra copy).
I don't have that issue.
What kind of games have YOU been looking at?
It's quite different but how about stardew valley?
The combat side isn't a strong point of the game but there is a decent amount of base building involved with the farm.
(and this time I checked, it's not in your library)
Also wtf, people really do that ? Only right comment is MonkaS
