Ideal number mine/smelter
Hello !
I am still newbie et factorio and I want to build a optimal scalable mining facility.
What is the ideal ratio:
-Electric mine/smelter/conveyor distance ?

I mean a setup, or number of building which would allow:
-All furnaces to smelt at all time
-No ore being waiting for the conveyor.
I know that this is proportional to conveyors and furnaces speed, so for now just for basic conveyors and furnaces.

I guess this is a well known number for Factorio player, but I didn't found it on forums...
Thanks for the help !

Thanks ! So this mean that with 1 mine, 24 transport belt and 1 furnace, I have ideal output?

Not quite.

1 mine will feed 1 electric smelter. If you are using blue belt, you will need 36 furnaces each side, (total of 72), to fill one blue belt to capacity.

Thus, you will need 72 furnaces and 72 mines per blue belt.

Oh ! Ok so this mean that by default, if we remove any arm dispenser and belt delay, 1 electric mine perfectly fills 1 electric smelter ?

You may also find this 'cheatsheet' of ratios useful, posted by ranhothchord on Reddit:

Yeah, pretty much. (Check the link Acarin posted above & do the math). Also, you don't need to add the inserter swing time in any case, since the crafting time of plates is far longer than the swing time.

I tend to have massive mining fields, the ore from which is delivered by train, so I don't keep an exact count of how many miners I need.
