Why Can't I have the petroleum mix?
If I have the original oil to petroleum why can't I have the Cracked Oil to Petroleum mix into it?! I literally can't use the Petroleum from the new plants! Now my plants stop producing because the petroleum fills up and can't be used?! WTF?!

For example for those who think I am having some sort of mental issue, here I am trying to join them via storage tanks:

I have literally no idea what you could be trying to say.

Three shots in the dark:
1) If you want light oil or heavy oil then you need to research advanced oil processing to unlock the recipe
2) If you are trying to make tons of blue belts and aren't using the petroleum fast enough to keep up then you can click on the storage tank and delete the contents (in the long run you probably want to launch more rockets to get rid of large amounts of plastic and thus petroleum)
3) If you are getting incorrect warnings about fluids mixing then you might either have a small amount of the wrong liquid in the pipes (can be fixed by clicking on the pipe and then deleting the wrong contents) or maybe the pipes have been "reserved" by a building's liquid input/output (in which case you need to fix your pipes)

Fluids do not mix. If a wrong fluid is in the way, purge it.
You should be able to dump all petroleum into the same spot, as long as there's space for it. You can always build more fluid tanks.

You can. Petroleum gas is petroleum gas whether it was made with basic oil processing, cracked light oil from advanced oil processing, or cracked light oil from coal liquefaction.

If you can't get it to mix then you have a pipe problem that you need to fix. You either need to use pipe to grounds for a tight refinery set up or leave a space between pipes for a loose set up so that you don't risk a blockage from having 2 types of liquid attempting to mix.

find an pipe and flush it down with that delete button.

Have you ever tried to separate a liquid from another liquid?
It's generally pretty hard.

Underground pipes are going to be your best friend for not mixing fluids.

I use underground pipes 90% of the time, even when I port from underground to above to ensure it is the correct fluid it still will not allow them to be joined.

as an example I uploaded a screen capture of just trying to join the storage tanks together:

It's not giving you an issue because it's from 2 different methods, sometimes you strange things like that. I believe it's because it's making 2 connections instead of just the 1 and that's throwing it off. I've seen that before.

Those tanks look low or empty, flush them or pick them all up and lay them back how you want them to be.

Or disconnect the pipes from your refineries, set up a cluster of tanks off to the side and pump the remaining petroleum gas into the new set of tanks. Pick up the now emptied tanks, place them where you want them instead of trying to connect two ends at once, then pump the petroleum gas into your new tank set up , and then connect the pipes from your refineries.

If you don't want to lose the petroleum gas you all ready have in the tanks.

i thought blue belts needed lube which is heavy oil

Blue belts and electric engines require lubricant. Lubricant can only be produced using heavy oil. Once you have all the blue belts and electric engines you need and your lubricant tanks are full, if you aren't cracking your surplus heavy oil into light your entire refinery will stall when the heavy oil finally backs up.

There we go, there wasn't anything else in the lines but I just purged them and it works now

Yes, and since there is no recipe that only produces heavy oil you need to get rid of the rest if you want to keep making express belts (e.g. by launching lots of rockets).

or you know scale up cracking and make lots of batteries
