Can you use a controller for this game?

I know controllers aren't supported but I've got a program for that. What I'm wondering is if I can rebind controls to fit a controller or if there are just too many necessary keys for that to work.

And before you ask why a controller, it's cause I only got one arm silly.

There are multiple controller layouts on steam's controller configuration, no need for an external program for that.

As for the question, you can kind of use it but since the game is based on mouse and keyboard and uses the mouse's cursor quite a bit it can be a bit hard to use an analog stick instead in the long run.

Thankfully the movement is based on WASD so that part is easy to bind to the d-pad.

I used the top most configuration in the steam controller profile page. At that time it had 7000 hours of usage in the community.

Played a 200 hour+ factory just with a controller. Couch factorio works perfectly.
