Do mods permanently ruin your chances of achievements?

Or can you be eligible for achievements again if you disable mods? Are some mods okay, but others aren't? How many mods is it safe to have before the game says "Sorry, no more achievements this run."?

Far as I know, all mods disable achievements. I have not tried it, but I would be very surprised if a save that had mods will give achievements when you disable them.

Mods do not disable achievements. Mods only disable the achievement sync between the game and steam. If you have mods installed you still get achievements inside the game but they are not updated to steam as long as you have those mods installed.

you need load saved game before enable any mod or start new game to get achievment again.

Yes. Using console commands taints the save file but mod use does not; this is obviously a bit silly because you can just enable a mod for a second to run the lua commands for you.

Yeah sorry this is wrong. You can totally make a mod that spawns everything you need for every achievement. Then save and turn off the mod and load the save to get all achievements in less than 5 minutes and they are counted in steam as well. And only console commands that start with /c disables achievements. There are plenty of lua(and otherwise) commands that you can run without disabling achievements.

I'll try disabling the mods I've tried, and re-load my save file, and hope that achievements work again. Thank you for the answers.
