This game is dangerously addictive
I figured I'd try it out for 20, maybe 30 minutes before going to bed. I played for nine hours. I only finally stopped when I was in the middle of setting up complex production line and realized that I could no longer remember what I had set out to produce.

I should have bought this years ago.

Welcome to Factorio. The factory must grow. I too suffer time dilation while playing. After an hour passes and you look up at the clock and realize it was actually 4 hours.

It's not addictive. I just need more land and protect the land I have. For that I need resources to produce ammunition, technologies, factories, bots, belts, launch spaceships for better technology. Then at a certain point I run out of space or resources or I want to build a new bigger improved factory. For that I need more land and more resources. But those (modded) biters are becoming very powerful and can adsorb tons of ammo. If I don't produce more I will be overrun.

It's not addictive it is just a matter of survival.

yeah, it really is ... but the addiction sadly fades away after you play it for some time ... :(

It definitely is a problem when it's a yellow underground hopping a distance of 5 squares though. ;)

I don't consider it an addiction. I consider it a money-saver.
The time spent with Factorio is time not spent on purchasing and playing other games. :p

I just played the demo for not even 20 minutes and already realized how dangerous this game will be to my life since I will play at least five hours a day or more.
I'm laughing with a mix of joy and despair, because I KNOW how this works: I think "just two hours, just two hours... there is stuff to be done..." and I only recover my senses eight hour later.

I will surely buy this game.

Then let me preemptively welcome you to the Cracktorio family :P

If only. The inability to play them does nothing to prevent me from buying them.
