Using Bob/Angel mods and cant find stone any where on map?

Started a game and was playing... but needed stone so went hunting. To discover there is zero stone on map? And yes i went outside starter area and checked as well. So I decided start new game... and I see no listing for stone?

That's intended, when you play with angel's ores the base vanilla ores outside of coal don't exist.
You need to mine the ores (light and dark blue for copper and iron), use a crusher to get the crushed version of those ores that you can smelt for plates.
As a byproduct you will also get crushed stone that can be combined into stone for the recipes that require it like furnaces.

You should have a burner crusher when you start, if you don't it means that you have another mod that changes the starting items.

nope, burner crusher requires stone bricks and engine and iron plates..

I know, what I am saying is that you should have one in your inventory as part of your starter items.

Ok restarted, one of the settings was removing items from inventory before adding new items. With it off i have crusher now :-) Thanks Fel

You don't actually need any of that starting machinery because you can crush stiratite and saphirite by hand. This crushed stone can be turned into stone, which can be used to craft a stone furnace, which can be used to make stone brick, etc.

Hmm the research building missing from inventory as well as build menu :/ I dont know what is removing all the buildings.

EDIT - never mind forgot its LAB not Research. lol been gone too long it seems

Look through the various tabs, a lot of overhaul mods change the layout of the crafting tabs so even things you usually find in a specific tab can be moved elsewhere.

I found them :-) its not blue its red. Its a burner lab it seems. Been gone so long Ive forgotten a lot.

Just a FYI; EVEN if you don't have any stone and/or crushers in your inventory you can still get stone by digging up the orangy-crystaline formations and/or the rocks strewn about on the floor. Especially the large rocks are handy early game as they ALSO give you coal as a byproduct (some of them)
