Purple train tracks?
I am learning about train signals and am putting all my different tracks together to ease future expansion, but there is one line that I cannot get to work, it just keeps saying "no path" and the tracks are purple? I have tried segmenting all the differing parts of the track, can't seem to get it working.

But I can't seem to find anything on these purple tracks.

heres is screen cap of it Imgur [imgur.com]

To add to this, the colour of those lines have no meaning, red, green, yellow, purple or whatever else are just there to help you differenciate the various blocks.

Your "no path" is because the train is looking to go forward but the signals on the track that is directly forward makes it one-way in the opposite direction so the train can't find a valid path to anywhere from where it is.

Signals break up the railways into blocks, and the various colours display those blocks when you are holding a signal or similar item.

The signals visible in the screenshot are incorrect (trains going towards the right can never return) but are not the cause of this error.

You will have to look at the other signals, and/or other train stations to fix your problem - look for unpaired signals (like the ones shown in the screenshot) which create one way tracks.

So what block is the problem, the incoming one from the left? I would want it to turn back and go left since thats the way to the stop I want it to go to.

The problem may not be in the picture. One way to find the error is to click the train to see the train map view, and then hold ctrl to place a temporary stop and move your mouse along the track on the map until it can no longer path.

Ok, I made it work, just made another track that goes the oposite way, no worries.

Still don't understand what this means, but pretty sure you were right.
He said the color doesn't mean anything, they just show what is the same section.
He also said signals have a direction. Trains cannot pass a signal in the wrong direction.
