GOTY?

It is my favorite game, and same for many others... is there a reason why it shouldn't be nominated?

The only reason is because you can only nominate a game once, so if you nominate it for goty you can't nominate it for categories it may have a greater chance of winning. Remember it is the total amount of votes that count in the end, not review score, and factorio doesn't have that many players compared to some other games.

Not to mention they aren't begging their players to do it. I respect them even more for that.

i understand that other games with huge player bases will likely trample all over all of the categories - but this is the only year that Factorio will be eligible for Game of the Year - so that's what i nominated it for - and next year i will do Labour of Love - or if the community can agree on another category and commnicate that to get everyone on board then i will do that

but this year it's Game of the Year - whether it wins or not! :-)

just realized i was mistaken about how the awards work - only games released that year are allowed to be nominated for ANY category EXCEPT Labour of Love

So this is the only year that Factorio is eligible for all categories

doesn't change my nomination of it for Game of the Year this year - but will only be eligible for Labour of Love next year (unless they change the rules again)

imho, it's going to be an other overhyped game like one man's sky ... so many people keep talking about it and i don't think it will meet expectations.


anyway, i'm also going for goty and not voting anything else in any other category, it's the only year factorio can get this award and, tbh, it has a chance to win it, a lot of places talked aout factorio and i think nobody has any reason to hate it.

They deserve it, but are rarely featured on the store page... at least in my experience. I wonder why that is?
