remove wires
Is there a way to remove wires on a large scale ?

I have a place with thousands of chests all linked by wires.... or I should say nearly all... Moreover this is completly useless as they only serve to read the content of my logistic network which is far more easy and with less "bugs" with a roboport (thing I did not know before setting up the logic network).

So now I'd like to remove all theses wires but without rebuilding all.... I checked the deconstruction planner but it seems I cannot select wires....

For now i doubt there is a way. (Also you never get back the wires)
Except for electric pole that is (but also don't get the copper wires back).

Try making a BP of just some storage chests, then shift-place that over some of your existing wired chests ~ it might "update" them to be non-wired.
If so, repeat for all of them.
If not, then you could clear & replace every other chest (as it will break the wire connection to both neighbours) ~ at least this is only half the work.

Though, if you are not using those wires for anything, then leaving them should not cause a problem.

It does not update them, I tried.

As for replacing them my issue is they are full (at least some of them).... And concerning leaving them I have to check every connection to electric poles to be sure to have a "clean" signal on wich send my logistic network content, but yes it's the best solution I think....

Well, if they are full: hold a circuit wire in your hand, & click on two neighbouring chests to remove the connection between them. Gonna take a while to do them all like this though.

Edit ~ an easy way to "empty" storage chest contents into another storage chest, is to hot-replace it with an active provider ~ the bots will empty it to other chests, & you can clear & rebuild a fresh storage in its place.
