Fixing Concrete?
So Im playing the .15 branch and noticed that when laying concrete and hazard tiles around my factory it leaves lots of vegetation and decals that would of normally been deleted when a tile was placed over it. Just wondering if this is a known thing thats being worked on or if for some reason theres meant to be grass and reeds just growing over poured concrete.

Its a known problem. I think the only real way to remove the vegetation is to drop something like an assembler down and pick it back up. I am not sure if this needs to happen before or after you lay the concrete. You can always pick the concrete back up anyway but holding some in your cursor and right clicking as usual.

Also protip if you don't already know, the + and - on your numpad will increase or decrease the area you can lay concrete and bricks down.

I believe it always used to layer over it... Im thinking about rolling back a few updates to check it but I know it CAN be removed by using something other that tiles (belts, furnaces, inserters, ect) but its kind of a pain to lay out 1,000,000 tiles and have grass growing through it lol

I can attest that laying floor tiles doesn't remove vegetation in 0.14 either, if it's of any consolation.

To get your floors looking neat, you'll have to go to the menu - options - graphics and turn off decorations. That'll take away all the bushes and reeds from unbuilt areas too and leaving the game world looking a bit sterile, but hey, what wouldn't one do for a clean looking factory.

Also, there is a mod that allows the flame thrower to burn down those tree trumps and vegetation, so if you are not against using mods:
