No power line in build options? How do i place power lines?! Edited.

Driving me nutz. I can place ghost power lines but have no way to build them.

In the 3rd campaign lv I have encountered an error where I can't progress because I can't build power lines. Sandbox everything works fine.

You need construction robots to place BP or ghost images. Otherwise, just place them by hand.

I dont have the blueprint. How do I make them/make them appear?

I have the one that comes with lv 3.

You build power poles just like any other building. Lines connect poles automatically. If two poles are too far apart they will not connect. Just move them closer or place one in between.

Don't hold shift while placing power poles manually. You can press q while hovering over a BP ghost to send that item to your hand (if you have the item in your inventory, of course).

If you need to reconnect two poles that are disconnected, use a copper cable (only works if they're in range).

If you want to use BP's for construction purposes without teching all the way up to construction bots, get the nanobots mod,

You can also use them simply as a way of planning out your factory.

unfortunately power pole connections are not kept in blueprints. so if you have a circuit that has manually connected power poles you are out of luck. you will have to rewire them by hand.

Its a glitch where I'm not given the power line blueprint on the 3rd lv. It just keeps telling me to hook up the steam power. Game plays fine when I start a random lv.

I haven't played the campaign in a long time, but I do NOT recall robots and blueprints being a thing within the campaign, and certainly not for mission three.

Unless you're not playing the campain, but freeplay, and are referring to science three.

Frankly, space king, your questions are BIZZARE. Could you screenshot what you're trying to do?

Just craft a small electric pole if you havent already. Right click on it in your inventory and then right klick on the ground.

Here's a workaround for you....

You can use COPPER CABLES to manually draw/remove power lines from power poles :)

Blueprints are a different category from items you can build. I now know

You need to harvest some trees and hold some copper to build wooden power poles, as they take wood and copper.

Place one power pole down so that it covers the steam engine; place another that covers whatever item consumes power. Place additional poles as needed to hook the two poles together.

Also take a screenshot of where you're at, you MIGHT need to do something else before that option unlocks.

I don't know if you ever came back to this issue, but I had the same problem.

The tutorial mode only gives you the ability to build electricity poles once you have hooked up the steam output of the boiler to the steam input of the power generator.

I had the boiler water output hooked up instead and the tutorial would not progress.

go into alt mode and check the symbols if you are not sure.

Hope this helps, i got stumped by this one for a bit!
