If you want to work with gold, tin, lead, nickel, aluminium and other materials that are used in the real world, you have access to a decent amount of mods that specialize in increasing the complexity of the recipes.
Among the older representative that are still updated are bob's mods that revolves around those extra ores as well as electronic circuits (you need to make the boards and components separately before assembling them and each tier is much more complex than the previous).
It is often paired with angel's mods (they are meant to be compatible) that revolves mostly around liquids and ore refining.
Of course there are other mods that add ores like gold but since you mentionned the circuits as well bob's mods seemed apropriate.
But from a game balance perspective, devs didnt want to over saturate the need for different resources on the map. Adding gold alone still wouldn't fill the realism gap of not needing semiconductors and insulators for curcuits like you mentioned. If they added all those the map could become a rainbow and the progression could be alot harder.
I know you said you dont want to use mods, but there are several that add gold as a resource, and several that add real complexity to circuits specifically. Perhaps its for achievement reasons, but mods are supported for everyone to get thier own micro variant version of the game.
For the rest of the discussion participants: everyone is entitled to express their opinion. Please don't take things too seriously. If people have "needs" for gold... then that is part of their universe. Hopefully they will find mods that please them.
I also wish that were more features in the game like seasons and natural disasters, floods, sinkholes because of oil drilling etc. etc. but well we can't have everything :(
You obviously are obsessed with gold, which is why you need to have it everywhere.
That in itself would be fair enough.. Install a mod and have it your way..
But you don´t want to install mods that do exactly what you want, instead you want the devs to change the whole game.just to please you..
Got it.
