If you don't get an error screen then file a bug report.
Thing is, that shouldn't be happening -- if there's a problematic mod that blocks the game from loading, it should be detected and give you an option to disable it.
If you disable the problematic mod manually, it helps you, this one time. If you report it, it turns out to be a bug, and devs manage to fix whatever stops the error screen from appearing, it helps you and everyone else forever after.
