A terrible factorio fortnite ripoff.
It's called satisfactory: https://www.satisfactorygame.com/
And to make it worse, it's only avilable at epic game store.

You have a fundamental misunderstanding of what copyright is and how it works.

You can't copyright an idea. You can only copyright a particular expression of that idea. So unless Satisfactory copied some Factorio source code, or uses Factorio art assets, they're in the clear.

If copyright worked like you imagine it does, we'd have a grand total of maybe a dozen computer games in existence, and no new ones could be made until those games' copyrights expired, some 50~100 years in the future. Similar with movies, books, etc. You could never have more than a handful on the marketplace at the same time. So unless you enjoy the original Pong, be very glad that you're mistaken here :)
We all know Factorio is great. The playerbase is generally pretty great as well. So why the hell do we need to use our forum to bash someone else's game? How about you wish them luck instead.

Oh, they certainly can sue them. They won't succeed, though. For an example, see the recent PUBG lawsuit against Fortnite.

No. Pubg sued because they claimed that fortnite used their netcode. They did not sue because they're both battle royale games

Do you have a source for that? Every single article I've seen, as well as comments from PUBG (and they were really peeved about Fortnite's success with the copied gameplay elements), said it was about the "game mechanics", "game similarities", and/or "art". I haven't seen a single shred of evidence that the lawsuit was about the actual code (in which case, lawsuit was justified and it's weird it was dropped). Admittedly, I was unable to find the text of the actual lawsuit, so I'm relying on second-hand reports (though, as it was filed in South Korea, it's probably in Korean, so I wouldn't be able to read it anyway).

If this were true, COD and Battlefield would be suing each other every year.

You do not get to sue anyone because you do not hold the copyright.

The copyright owner gets to sue, because copyright violations reduce the copyright owners income. The copyright owner does, in general, not give a damn about "choice" or "gamers" - they just want to collect the maximum amount of money from their intellectual property.
You're confusing copyright and trademark.

Any factorio like games are crap in comparison even if it's good.

Actually the fact that clones are popping up is a testament to how good and innovative this game has been.

Then Satisfactory itself has an intriguing idea when it comes to blend Factorio with first person view. But as it stands it cannot possibly appeal the hardcore Factorio player as with such premises it cannot just deliver the same amount of logistic scale and challenge posed by the original. It has necessarily to be simpler and smaller in scope.

But then again its devs choose to put the game on Epic store as an exclusive and that's an explicit admission that they don't believe in their own game, so no point in discussing it really.

Personally I hope to see more Factorio like games in the future. Possibly good games.

Just to clear things up; Wube software is aware of Satisfactory, and they are exited, see https://www.factorio.com/blog/post/fff-247

Satisfactory has vertical space making it play much differently. Check out their conveyor system and building stacking vertically here; Really excited to play this weekend.

Also, please remove "Fortnite" from your title. Actually has zero relevance other than to clickbait which we all know it is anyway.

LOL That's like the creator of the first idle game suing every other idle game. Just because it's in the same genre does not make it similar. As an alpha tester, I can honestly tell you that Satisfactory is nothing like Factorio.
