Only if you place some requester chests behind each turret or placing down one requester chest and an inserter and let it place on a belt to feed turrets

This is Factorio. There is almost nothing you have to do manually if you have the technology and put your mind to developing a plan. :)

You can feed turrets without bots...
Just have your ammo assembler dump ammo onto a belt.
Have the best go all the way out to your line of turrets.
Use inserters to take ammo off the belt and put it in your turrets.
It works with trains too but you still need a belt for the last steps.

Bots would need a requester chest somewhere and that's pretty high up the tech tree.

Inserters can take from the space in front of them and insert into something behind them. It's up to you to decide how to use that.

Do you run a belt full of ammo all the way to turrets, and have inserters place them into the turret?

Do you have bots deliver to a chest next to a turret, and have the inserter take from it and place into the turret?

Do you have bots deliver to near the turret, then have an inserter place it onto a short belt that goes past multiple turrets, each with inserters?

If you want autoloaded turrets, you're better off using the better automatic turrets xD Lasers and flame are great, although flame is awkward and kinda overkill for anything but a deathworld. Spam dem laser turrets. You'll need tons of energy, though.

Personally, when I want to use Turrets for defense, I've got a belt running around my perimeter. That belt is loaded with ammo - AP ammo (unless or until I've got a significant surplus of Uranium). I do not have an inserter feeding the belt directly off of the belt, though - I have the inserter put the ammo into a box and have another inserter take the ammo out and put it into the turret.

At high Bullet Shooting Speeds, you will run a single unit of ammo dry very quickly. This is somewhat compensated for by having 10 (or more depending on inserter capacity) units of ammo automatically fed to a turret. However, if there's a big push, and the turrets are firing for a while, only the first turret the belt feeds will get any ammo for a while. This potentially leaves the downstream (downbelt?) turrets running dry. The use of a Wooden Box (or any other kind of box) limited to a single space will create the same effect, when the system is first set up : the first inserter will grab all the ammo until its put 200 + whatever gets taken out by the turret. And this will trickle on down to the last turret on the belt taking the longest to get its ammo allotment.

But once this is set up, the entire defensive line has 200 ammo in the box plus whatever the inserters loaded into the turret itself (up to 20 if using stack inserters with maximum capacity - they won't load if the turret has 10 or more ammo). This significantly reduces, for all intents and purposes eliminates, any risk of any turret running dry for any reasonable firefight. And while it costs more resources (especially in iron ore) than using lasers, the power requirement is much lower, while the DPS per turret is higher assuming parity in energy and bullet tech levels.
