This might be especially important with yellow belts since those are limited to 15 items per second per belt, meaning that 4 belts essentially mean that you are only able to get the ores from a total of 120 electric mining drills (without any bonuses from modules or research 15 electric mining drill fully compress 1 side of a belt so 30 per belt).
This is less visible on the first screenshot but on the second you can see that the belts are emptied so fast that the "outer" chests don't even have ores in them.
This can be "fixed" by changing the portions with only 4 belts into red belts instead as well.
Of course if it matters at all or not depends on other things like the percentage of time the station spends without needing to fill a train but usually when you use trains to transport materials like that you tend to want a fairly high throughput that allows you to transport all of the ores mined from that site.
Could you add cargo to the other side of the rail? or thats for bigger mining outpost?, idk whats the difference? 4 inputs vs 8 (both sides of the train)
So if I improve the current setup to the red belts, would it be solved? but which of the 2 solutions do I use? because the 7-4 does not seem to work, the blueprint must be wrong, an error
It allows you to load or unload your trains at twice the speed (if the chests are empty or full depending on the case) but in most cases you don't use enough trains per station to make it worth the space.
Using 8 belts instead of 4 just means potantially bringing more ores to your chests, allowing them to fill faster and potentially make the train wait less (if you have more miners than what 4 belts can carry).
Your balancer on the first screenshot is nearly correct but it is missing 1 piece of belt near at the bottom left to connect the "output" splitters to the splitter that is right before it.
As a result the splitter feeding the 2 bottom belts only has 3 iputs instead of 4 so it doesn't output as much as it should.
my base is regular-small sized, will be my first game that i dont leave at green science xD, so i leave the train cargo system like this then
