I haven't played for awhile, but from what I remember, yes Radars stack. You can have multiple Radars to scan the map faster.

They each scan a different chunk with each cycle so they work well as a group when trying to map an area.

But since radars also have an area that they show all the time around them people tend to space them in order to get the most out of them.

Base game radars are decent enough. One trick is, once you get them, build 16. The "always on" coverage is exactly 1/4 the size of the default discovered area. So, put four Radars apiece in each quadrant of the initially revealed map, and let them do their thing. Once they have discovered everything they are going to, pick up three per quadrant and move them outward, so the edges of the "always on" parts are just touching. Of course, you need to power it all, and modded radars may have too large an area to really tell based on the little mimimap in the upper right of your screen. But this works real well for base game radars.

If you have an automobile or a tank the fastest way to find a new patch would be to drive around your perimeter. It all depends on how much ore you have left.

Radar scan rate sort of stacks in that overlapping radars will scan different sectors, adn fi there are unscanned sectors those get scanned before scanned secotrs.

They do not stack in the sense of revealing a larger area immediately or inthe logn run,

They will just reveal thearea they scan faster.

But if you have the resources, you can set up small scouting outposts at your perimeter. 8 solar panels 7 accumulators a radar and poer poles or a substation to connect them. It produces zero pollution so wont draw biters to it andit iwll run 24/7 after the first full day cycle. Scatter those around as early as possible ina game, and they will eventually recveal all the candy in range.

as other have said having multiple radars will increase scan speed. but they only have a limited range so if you want to discover new areas you will need to build them away from the ones you all ready have
