There's a recipie to put acid into barrels and another recepie to remove the acid from the barrel.
Both recipies will add a pipe input to your assembler.
Another option is to use pumps and the fluid wagon.
#1: if you playing with mods, the barrelling pump and some steel for the barrels.
#2: Directly from Assembly plant 2 (Assembly 1 can only produce Steel Barrels no fluid in/out)
#3: Chemical Plant > Pump > Storage Tank
A fluid wagon holds 5000 more units of fluid than a cargo wagon full of barrels does, so it's the better option (easier to set up as well).
Barreling is available both in vanilla and modded (Fluid handling or Fluid control had replaced Barreling tech)
Playing with mods made game much more fun than vanilla (not enough resources to play with).
Yes, mods are fun but OP didn't mention them.
Press F5
He did not mention using mods.
I thought you mentioned OP as overpowered.
Place an assembler next to the mine station. Using inserters, you unload the barreled acid into the assembler, and load the empty barrels back into the cargo wagon. The assembler will dump the barreled acid into a pipe connected to your miners. Don't forget to put the empty barrels back into the wagon. Setup filter inserters at your base to load and unload the acid barrels and the empty barrels. Unload your ore as normal.
This is how I do it, and it works well because one train does it all. If you want multiple trains, then setup one wagon and Shift + Right-click "Copy" the source wagon and Shift + Left-click "Paste" the destination wagon to copy all the settings.
