How extract sulfuric acid from barrels
Hi all. I am trying to set up the nucler energy. I have one uranium ore site far away from the main factory and so i have to transport sulfuric acid barrels to that uranium site by train vagons. Once there, how can i transfer the acid into the barrels to the electric miners?

Use your assemblers.
There's a recipie to put acid into barrels and another recepie to remove the acid from the barrel.
Both recipies will add a pipe input to your assembler.

Another option is to use pumps and the fluid wagon.

Few options are possible:

#1: if you playing with mods, the barrelling pump and some steel for the barrels.
#2: Directly from Assembly plant 2 (Assembly 1 can only produce Steel Barrels no fluid in/out)
#3: Chemical Plant > Pump > Storage Tank

Barreling is available in vanilla, no mods needed.

A fluid wagon holds 5000 more units of fluid than a cargo wagon full of barrels does, so it's the better option (easier to set up as well).

Im using Bob's/Angel's Mods check in Factorio Data even though data is for ver 0.15.

Barreling is available both in vanilla and modded (Fluid handling or Fluid control had replaced Barreling tech)

Playing with mods made game much more fun than vanilla (not enough resources to play with).

Vanilla and Modded

Your original reply (before edit) made it seem like you thought barreling was a mod thing, that's what I was responding to.
Yes, mods are fun but OP didn't mention them.

OP = Original Poster. The one that started this topic.
He did not mention using mods.

Oh I see, fair enough.

I thought you mentioned OP as overpowered.

Dedicate a slot on your train wagon to barrelled sulfuric acid. Dedicate another slot to empty barrels. Dedicate all the other slots to the Ore. Now your cargo wagon can transport the needed acid to mine as well as bring back all the ore. You do this with the middle mouse button on each cargo slot after you put an item there.

Place an assembler next to the mine station. Using inserters, you unload the barreled acid into the assembler, and load the empty barrels back into the cargo wagon. The assembler will dump the barreled acid into a pipe connected to your miners. Don't forget to put the empty barrels back into the wagon. Setup filter inserters at your base to load and unload the acid barrels and the empty barrels. Unload your ore as normal.

This is how I do it, and it works well because one train does it all. If you want multiple trains, then setup one wagon and Shift + Right-click "Copy" the source wagon and Shift + Left-click "Paste" the destination wagon to copy all the settings.

Thank you very much for your reply. I am not using mods. But it seems that there are many options to do that, also with no mods
