Robot only Logistic chest?
Is there some way (or some mod) that has robot only logistic chests, often if I want to stock a base I am building up I will build a robo-port and stock a chest with stuff that will need replacing, turrets, ammo walls, some power poles.

But sometimes I forget that when I dump my stuff into the chest the logistic robots will just go right to the chest and put all the stuff back into my inventory, is there a way that does not involve constently adjusting your logistic request numbers to have chests only used for building and repairs?

I use logistic chest for dumping inventory, mainly. Use passive provider chests to supply your bots. to begin with anyway i guess.

That doesn't work, say I have a request for 20 laser turret, if I drop 10 on my 20 turrets into the passive provider box the logistic robots will jump out, grab the turrets and put them back in my inventory, I really wish I could lock some chests to only construction robots.

There's no way to currently do this. The game is set up to always prioritize the player(s) over anything else when it comes to bots.

That's how it currently works and you can't influence that. Only with roboport placement can you make sure that you're not in a roboport zone while chests are. That's the only thing that you can do to make them not supply you right now.

Is this in reference to the "main" base, or an outpost?

At the main bse, there is no way to do it without adjusting the Logistic Requests.

For an outpost, however .. set up a Building Train. You cart over (or FARL, I suppose) the stuff to make the track run to the outpost, and include as an offshoot from the stacker a building station. Have the train run all the Laser Turrets, Power Poles, Miners, Logistic and Construction Robots, Belts, etc. that you need.

That building station, by the way, works really well as your "personal access" (aka PAX) station.

no EASY way; no...

However...you can make index counters for all stock you have...store that stock in NON-logistic chest (so the normal chests) then use arithmatic and decider combinators to make the inserters on THAT chest behave according to index levels to release stuff to a provider chest. It won't prevent the robot s from bringing you turrets if your own internal stock is low...HOWEVER when total stock is below a certain number stuff will remain in the normal box and NO robots can touch it...then when numbers go over your buffer, inserters will activate to release it to providers chests...

ALL this does however is create a minimum hysteresis between what you need and use. I use tis myself to build up a stationairy buffer to build a complete outpost whilst still also having stuff available for when stuff breaks or needs replacing...but it's a VERY cumbersome system to implement and you might just want to build a Mall system and hook that up directly to a train or other storage "box" that simply doesn't allow for construction bot access...

For more info; I know KoS built a mall and hooked it up to a building train later on in her Megabase yt-vids. Maybe you should search for her vids....she deffo has some interesting ideas xD

I almost remember reading a fff about adding a logistics toggle button, i remember it was talking about disabling the personal roboport, but i dont recall whether it mentioned personal logistics slots.

If you don't want the items delivered to you, remove them from your logistic request. The game is programmed to assume you wouldn't request things if you don't actually want them delivered --and further, it assumes you want them delivered ASAP.

This could also be done IF we could adjust the orange range of the robotports. Set a very small range for the port near the chest, stand outside of that range to load it up, and then place some full range ports further out with your personal bots.

I've asked for adjustable range on roboports but I don't think there is much use for it.

Or... bring extra supplies to where you want to leave them, and drop those in the chest Instead. robots won't take from that to resupply your personal request if you already meet it.
