So my biggest that i have discovered was an 112 million iron ore patch, but a realivly long way from my base.
Also depends on your settings
But have not explored too far on this world yet (~2000 tiles ENE, ~1000 in other directions), hoping to find some decent sized (100+M) iron / copper patches further out to the NE.
Richness gets higher the further away the ore patch is, & the resource configuration settings in the map gen make a big diference too. (I used: freq: very low, size: very big, richness: very good.)
From 43 mln patch ive dig 15mln already. Just in 330 hrs playtime. ;P
Just last night i found Stiratite patch counting 73mln.
Someone the other day was talking about not wanting deposits lower than 1G which is... a lot and took a couple hours worth of travelling to reach.

It took over 3.5 hours (in real time) to travel far enough away from my starting point in a car to reach the area in above screenshot. It is more than possible that by the time you reach the end of the map that resource patches are in excess of 100's of Gig's in size.
I didn't actually know if people went that far in the map because there's usually more than enough patches of ore to finish the game, at least in my two games.
Wouldn't it have been more practical by that point to just use the Infinite Ores mod? Its not like 1G is ever going to run out unless you plan to play for an EXTREMELY long time.
Simply not everyone love this game for ability to "finish" it. ;)
Now i have 330+ hours on my save and i don't launch even single rocket yet.
Mostly becouse making satellite in Bob+Angel is real pain in the ass. ;P
For now i'm gonna play pure vanilla until I get bored of it because I know that as soon as I install Bob's/Angels I will never be able to go back.
Currently building a megafactory (mostly just to see if I can ~ so much math & planning involved). Will defo try bobs / angels or deathworld preset at some point though, for a change of pace / different challenge.
There is plenty of stuff in the vanilla game to keep you busy for a long time, especially if/when you start playing with circuits. My advice: try *everything* out, at least once.
