How to repair Power Armor?

I am going through power armor like candy, is there a way to repair it?

Get some energy shields, and work toward Mark 2, so you can add more reactors and shields.

IDT I've ever made more than 1 Power Armor in a single game.

I guess you've never struggled for mats to make the researh to get mk.2 and sheilds. In order to get those mats I need to go through about 8 miles of nests to make a mining outpost. so... good for you I guess? Thanks for letting me know though, even if you did humble brag.

It was not a brag, but a practical suggestion. My last sentence was just a note -- I've never used power armor without shields.

Just FYI -- I've played the game under all different settings, including Death World... so yes, I know the struggle.

Shields drain your battery, the more damage the larger the load. Those weak reactors can't keep up with much combat. The health bar is there to be used. I've gone through mk2 power armors in earlier version of this game. Mk2 is much better though, so definitely make it a priority.

There is no way to repair power armor as far as I am aware. If it's a problem maybe fight more at range rather than getting close and dirty? Maybe try laser turret creeping?

Armor isn't repairable but you can equip a few so you're not left naked when your power armor does break.
Shield damage doesn't affect armor durability so go wild with shields.

Without shields, power armor isn't really much better than heavy armor imo. The whole point is to make it better by putting equipment in its slots. If you can't do that it's not really worth it, especially considering the blue circuit cost.

I always get hit by trains. Meh whatever. The mk2 suit dwindles down and eventually I have to replace it. So after time I developed a system. I wear one suit for roboports. I carry another suit for speed on me. Switching when needed. I have a third suit that is blank (nothing in it) that sits in the factory. When I need it I pull it out. The factory starts building another. I replace for either of the suits I need and I am always taken care of. But that's how I solved that problem. I think I've been killed by trains 50 - 60 times before I replace a suit. I don't really count but it's a fair guess.
