I suggest you just ask him which kinds of games he likes, and if he says he likes this kind of game mention that he is missing out on one of the best design games of all times. But if he does not like the genre don't push it.
It’s strange though really because his fave games are production line, prison architect and worbital.
When I very first started out, I was a little turned off by the demo, because 2 seconds after I'd try to learn how to do something ultra basic, like pick something up out of my inventory, I'd get attacked by biters. Then a couple minutes later when I figured out that I had to place a miner on top of some coal, I'd get attacked by biters. I almost passed on the game when I stumbled upon a KoS video. It was the first of one of her series, and it seemed she explained everything at a beginner's level. I tried finding that again and couldn't. I found a few "episode 1" videos in playlists, but she was mostly concentrating on the changes in a new release.
I kinda wish the demo was the full game, but you couldn't research past a certain point and no mods.
2. Dont be a childish fanatic. No game is perfect.
