I'll also play around with Terrain settings, I have a love/hate relationship with Cliffs. Love em when they aren't in the way of my buildings, hate them when they are... but it makes for a different kind of challenge to build with the Terrain instead of terraforming it the way you want.
hmm thats an interesting idea, ill have to give it a shot. I really want to get better at trains.
I like doing some default deathworld marathon blind start and see how far i can go, but this is exhausting so I dont always do that.
I also play with a friend on ribbon word for a relaxed experience where beauty and symmetry are prioritized over efficiency.
Just added the increase in resource costs and expensive research but that made it feel too grindy.
I also tend to leave biter expansion off just so I don't have to constantly move out to clear away bases, though I do sometimes miss not having the enemies to gun down with well set up base defences regularly.
I would look to try something new but having just come back after around a year of not playing and advancing to 0.17.34 I have some new things to figure out and several of my blueprints no longer work.
