First launch, very long
Hi
I have an issue since a long time
the first start of the day is very long (around 1 min), it seems to stuck on Cropping Bitmap (around 45")
after that, if i quit the game, and laucneh again, it's ok

is there something to do to fasten the start of the game ?

what graphics card (integrated?) are you using? how much VRAM does it have? what 'Sprite resolution' are you using?

It goes faster the second time around because the information is already loaded into memory so your computer doesn't need to do that again. So I can answer that part for you.

with 8GB of VRAM no need to reduce.

Hello, it's usually caused by slow HDD. In subsequent starts, game files are cached in RAM by OS, so it's not reading them from disk anymore and starts fast.

Installing the game on faster HDD or SSD should help decrease the startup time.

Turn off Paging File of Windows for even faster responses;
not risky. Just no correlation between RAM & HDD/SSD then

or set a nice 8-20GB one, if you didn't have it on, before.
[Sysdm.cpl}

i wouldn't turn off paging file. even if you have plenty of RAM some games freak out with no page file.

depending on how little RAM you have, or how much is free, the game not having 20GB of virtual RAM, when you load a certain scene//etc, can potentially cause a crash or super slowness. It depends on the way it was designed. ETc.

Some games don't require a lot, in their normal modes. Then suddenly you let a 64bit executable do the same thing and it can use 4x as much RAM as the 32bit EXE
