Is there a way to automate assembly machines factory?

So i looked in google and litheraly didn't find anything about automating assembly machines production in 0.17.and yes I tried to came up with an design though i couldn't really find a way to put all the ingrediants in an assembly machine to craft them

You want to set an assembly machine to assemble more assembly machines?

Any assembly machine can do that as long as you feed it the materials.
Don't forget you can put items on both sides of the belt.
It's just like telling the machine to craft any item but with extra inputs.

He is not saying that there is no point, he is saying that you automate that the exact same way you automate everything else, which is why the question sounds weird to some of us.

Maybe the 4 input requests is throwing you off?
Part of the challenge of Factorio is figuring out problems like feeding 4 items to assemblers.

It's a bit spaghetti but it does work, I have to question the blue inserters for the iron and circuit belts, is there a hidden reason why you are doing this instead of just continuing the belt itself?

EDIT: Also, if it's not already been done be sure to limit that chest's slots or it will fill the chest with tier 2 assembling machines, which is more assembling machines than most people need.

By the way, I think it's shift+space to pause the game by default (when going to forums and such, to be sure you don't come back with your base under attack).

Well, the main reason he mentionned it is because we can see the attack happening on your screenshot (on the mini map and at the right of the hotbars).
